I don't see much in the way of announcements here,
so forgive me for breaking the normal flow, but
since there *is* a guideline for how to do it, I'm
assuming it's still ok...
Over a year ago I started a project of contacting the
authors of old LP libs (mostly MudOS) and with their
permission, fixing up and repackaging their work with
the latest FluffOS driver.
It's been more successful than I imagined, and now
most of the MudOS "big libs" are available in this
repackaged, easier-to-install format.
They even come with a precompiled native executable
version of the driver for Windows. The FluffOS
libs, anyway.
The idea is that I'm an LPC fanboy and making it
easier for folks to play with it makes it more likely
I'll have more people with whom to share my odd passion.
Hopefully this stirs nostalgia in some of you and
moves you to get back in touch with your inner
LP lover, and for those new to LP, I hope this
piques your curiosity to know more.
The libs currently available in packaged up,
driver source + Windows executable format are:
Dead Souls 1 & 2
Discworld 17.0a
Final Realms 3.5
Foundation I & II
Lil
Lima 1.05a (as an upgrade patch.)
LPUniversity a-0610-R7
Merentha 1.2.0
Nightmare 3 & IV
Skylib 1.8
TMI-2 1.4
Also packaged (but without a Windows binary)
and available is Phantasmal with DGD.
