As promised, I've gathered some relatively useful statistics on
exactly what types of Java end users are running. There was
apparently some question as to the value of sticking with Java 1.1
for client purposes. I think the following numbers justify it pretty
clearly.
Incidentally (for those who are curious), we gathered these stats by
simply querying each player who was logged in using our javaclient
periodically over a two day span. Each client then reports back to
us what it's running on, and we record it.
(Btw, no pity for variable-width email users. *g*)
