Well rangers are typically wilderness fighters and scouts. They "range
about" not "shoot ranged weapons".
Archer should work best here I'd think. It speaks exactly to what an
archer is (arcus) but Sagittarii might be more fun!
Class by weapon is sometimes hard because IRL most troops used a variety
of weapons based on the situation or state of the encounter which is
often poorly translated to the game format. Point blank shot probably
doesn;t work as well in a real bear attack as drop the bow and grab the
