i am almost inspired to revived my mud chip project (i.e. i posted about
that in another message). conceptually the software was going to be
either java-based or squeak-based (smalltalk variant). i like the idea
of a runtime engine and a container with the rest of the stuff.
essentially the mud tower [tm] would be the boss and mini
infrastructure command center with the ability to talk to other
towers. the mud chips [tm] would be dumb about the outside world but
smart about their own world or part of their world. and somehow in
this mix mobile objects are neatly and seamlessly fitted.
