As a followup on the pros and cons of using the browser to deploy
games, I found this cool hack on Slashdot, a game scripted in
javascript using raycasting to generate the frames:
http://www.wolf5k.com/index.html
It's very rough because of the difficulty in generating graphics,
but add it to the scriptable 2d canvas that's coming in the next
firefox
http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/#multimedia
and maybe a projected opengl context, mix it with some AJAX and
while you're not going to match graphically games implemented in say
c++, you will be able at least to implement a 100% browser game
that's not interface-impaired.
